I guess Russia doesn’t have enough uranium, oil, and internet p0rn. They want to corner those markets by gobbling up the Kazakhs again.

It was a “mostly peaceful” protest.

I would have first guessed that this was possibly some foreign intelligence agency’s doing (ahem CIA, cough...)

But given the rapid escalation of violence, the targeted attacks on specific buildings, the videos of people being handed weapons from random cars on the street, etc...

This seems more like a high level Kazakh Government factional dispute / civil war.

Burnt-out vehicles littered the city's streets, several government buildings were in ruins and bullet casings were strewn over the territory of the presidential residence, which was stormed and looted by protesters yesterday

Now that's how you do an insurrection !

So while Biden wrings his hands in worry over Russia taking the Ukraine, Putin moves in and takes Kazakhstan.

And it still was not as bad as Jan 6!(sarc) If you can believe that.
I think it would be interesting to see some real violence from the past. Salvador Allende in 1973 immediately came to mind.
There are so many others.
Jan 6 was nothing compared to them. The Dems love their hyperbole.

Did Russia provoke this insurrection in the first place or was it the US?

When this destruction takes place in ANY protest I’m all for taking it down and breaking it up however is necessary....and yes shooting those who are setting fires and showing violent behavior.

“Putin’s ‘peacekeeping’ Paras say they have the right to KILL”

Certainly beats our “Win their hearts and minds” orders when we go into other countries.
