At this point, we are not dealing with reason and logic.
These people can only be satisfied through blind compliance. No debate or discussion can solve this.
I think the only resolution is for it to go away and be forgotten about.
The problem is the precedent is now set for next time. The next dread disease (and there will be one) that rolls through, we start right where we left off here.
