“You need to understand the govt is making these decisions”

No they are not. The car cos are.

EV cars take a 1/3 of the labor to build and 1/2 the parts.

No more radiators, exhaust, fuel system, ifnitions, trans problemsetc

Toyota is going electric. They said their warranty work will drop 80-90% electric motors are very simple. They have one moving part. The main shaft

Car companies are going to save tens of billions in warranty work.

This is not about green but maximizing profits and reducing labor cost.

When EVs take over 75% of current techs will be out of a job. Like I said the motor had one moving part and no complex transmission

That and upstream oil people are the main causes of backlash. It’s going to happen, but it’ll be exxonmobil, BP and others in a bind.

VW, Toyota & Panasonic are investing BILLIONS in SOLID STATE battery technology.

It COULD be possible that solid state batteries would actually outlast the vehicle they are initially installed in. This IMHO is the game changer. Not Lithium Ion batteries.

They other potential is Hydrogen Fuel cells. Toyota has one model currently available. The question is where do you fill it up?

The demand should be driving it. It isn’t.

If making possum sandwiches was cheaper and much easier would McDonalds be switching all their sandwiches to possum?

Toyota is not going full electric and has argued against government changes,
