Same at the central Florida hospital where I work- except for our ER. That’s swamped with people wanting tests. No amount of explaning that omicron is not the plague seems to be heard.
I’m alarmed by the easy leap from caution to terror made by many. Fear is seductive.

At Publix today the nurse in front of me in line was buying sparkling grape juice. She told me it was for a New Years Eve celebration at her hospital tonight. That doesn’t sound like something that would happen in an overwhelmed hospital.
