Test positivity rate might become a bit more useful to gauge the ebb and flow of the epidemic, when test capacity gets swamped.
Some anticipate that there are also a greater percentage of asymptomatic cases with Omicron. That might effect test positivity rate as well, if more people who are getting routine screenings for work or travel start popping positive.
too bad they weren't recording all colds and flu's yrs ago...it would look like we've cured them....
