Glad I did my cruising in the early 2000s.

Same here. Where were some of the places you toured? We did Bonaire, Aruba, and Curacao. Would like to see more, but those days might be over...

We did a cruise for our honeymoon that most people have never heard of....a very small ship that anchored off the cruise lines’ private island in the Bahamas for 3 days and nights.

The island had a large beach, full outdoor kitchen, bars, shops and an amphitheater which provided entertainment every night.

A large part of the crew worked on the island so you could hang out there and get much of the same food, drinks and service you could get on the ship.

Of course that was in the early 90s....a cruise line would never think of doing that nowadays...they want people in the casino spending their kids inheritance and college tuition.
