Crime IS “made up” to some extent. While based on natural law and God’s law, it is part of the set of rules we have adopted through statute and case law to order society.
Correct. The law is made up by us, far from perfect and often biased by emotions and various agendas/interests.
i.e. We locked up addicts for years in hellholes for possessing a baggie while “white collar” criminals and corrupt cops got the kid glove treatment with often zero jailtime.
Cops in my city got ZERO jail time after being caught planting drugs for quota and locking many innocent people in jail. It was buried on page 10 and nobody even knew.
Only one small local banker went to jail for the phoney mortgage securities crisis while they were ALL doing the same thing and nearly collapsed the entire economy.
Of course people are not going to respect the law when they see this sh** going on...
