Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is urging Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), a close ally and his No. 2, to run for reelection next year as Thune weighs retiring.
Asked on Wednesday about the possibility that Thune retires, McConnell told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt that "I certainly hope he won't."
"John Thune is an outstanding senator. He's done a great job as whip. ...It would be a real setback from the country and our party if he retires," McConnell added.

Lankford (Ok) will be replaced by a real conservative next year
I hope so.
Crapo, Grassley, Hoeven, Lankford, Lee, Moran, Murkowsky, Rubio, Scott, Thune and Young all need to be primaried in 2022, even if Trump endorses them.
We will never MAGA by re-electing Assistant Democrats.
Everyone who watched them elect Democrat Doug Jones in Alabama.
With Obamacare repeal in the balance. The GOP tries to blame McCain for its failure when clearly it was China Mitch most responsible for not delivered a signable bill to President Trump’s desk. His corporate donors love socialized medicine.

.
Just what we need, more cloistered Idiots.
If you have figured out the Senate is a problem yet, it ain’t going to happen for you.
.
Thune is done. He did NOT represent the will of the electorate in South Dakota who stood with Presidnet Trump. Make it clear. He is TOAST.
Thune should run for reelection, then step down and let Gov. Noem name a replacement.
She’d just name another Bush League Republican.
Thunder is NOT a conservative.
And is on of McConnell’s hatchet men.
“That’s how we get 88 year old Grassley to run again.”
C’mon now, 88 is a pup compared to Strom Thurmond! /sarc
