There is a hydraulic calculation somewhere based on the entire oceanfront footage (really mileage) that would be effected with rising water of 1 foot of ocean. A better way to put it is similar to the calculation (available on any water management district’s website) on how many gallons of water it would take to raise the level of a body of water, say, a lake for example 6 inches.

The entire surface area of the world which is covered with seawater, ocean water is very large. Incorporate that number into the water rise calculations and one can derive how much water that would be. Then compare that to the amount of glacial ice these idiots are saying is collapsing into the ocean. It cannot even begin to approach the amount of water, in cubic miles, it would take to raise all the oceans of the world ... a foot. (oh yeah, they said “at least” a foot.

Not possible in other words for this to happen.

Please stop making sense and using real science.

Thanks for this. I would love to see their mathematics for how the global oceans will rise by ‘at least a foot’. As you noted, that would take a serious number of cubic miles of water. Even then, as the oceans grow in height, more surface is exposed meaning even more volume is required to keep it rising. It’s not linear.

"Not possible in other words for this to happen."

Another illustration of how dumb and innumerate the true believers in this climate hoax are.

These so called 'scientists' are the type who can't do math and grew up on participation trophies...

I saw a calculation some years back that said to raise the world’s oceans 1 foot every bit of ice (including the ice cubes in your fridge) would have to melt. This gives new appreciation of the amount of ice that was locked up in the Ice Caps which melted and caused sea level to rise by some 400 feet.

Using logic and reason is not allowed when discussing the terrible climate change devastation caused by your lawn mower and snow blower.

They went on to say two feet and then...gulp... TEN FEET.

Just using my God given “logic”, I surmised that raising the level of the oceans of the world by “at least” a foot” is RIDICULOUS.

The oceans are MASSIVE!

The saying “a drop in the ocean” comes to mind.

“a drop in the ocean definition: a very small amount compared to the amount needed”

An acre foot of water == 325,851 gallons.

One acre of land, covered 1 foot deep.

Not only that…but if you through a glacier that size into the ocean…it’s going to cool a lot of water. And that cold water is going to circulate, dropping air temps and ocean temps. This will result in changed weather patterns and more snow. This will take water out of the system at a pretty good pace.

The net would be almost immeasurable.

Now, if a huge piece of ice “slid” into the oceans at one time, that might cause some “sloshing”….but that’s not what the article was about.
