I came into the service in 1977....by 1990...I could not recognize it. It’d changed so much that it was out of touch with reality by that point. Comparing against the 2010 era, it’d totally changed again. Here in 2021....4th evolution in play.

I came into service in 1966 and when I got out in 1971, the country was beyond recognition then. 10 years later :
The Federal government was imprisoning commercial fishermen for fishing ;
State fishing violation misdemeanors became Class C felonies ;
Coast Guard cutters were pointing locked and loaded .50 cals at fishermen fishing ;
Ranchers were being run off their land in the name of the ESA ;
Private property was being seized without compensation to save some animal from extinction - even though the animal was abundant everywhere else ;
Federal directives were promulgated to alter fishing gear to make it inefficient in order to save a bird that had never been studied ;
Special rights were legally granted to the Tribes, making them super-citizens above other citizens and the Constitution. ETC

The culture changed in the United States with the liberal cultural revolution of the late 1960’s.
It looks from the outside(I’ve never been in the military) like its effects on our military are going to be very detrimental, moving forward.
The pushback needs to come from our veterans, they’re “the key” to stopping or slowing down this stupidity. After the midterms, we need veterans testifying before Congressional Committees about why “woke ideology” needs to go down the toilet.
