I do have sympathy for them because the girls in NCAA swimming are 18-22 year-old young women who’ve spent their nearly every day of their entire lives at the pool training to get where they are.

If you have a daughter, tell her to quit the NCAA team she's on. Most colleges have intramurals so she can still do that and have fun. Also, there are other things to focus on. Spending too much time on a NCAA sport is silly, you should spend enough time just for the college experience and to compete against other schools, that's about it. No need to train like a pro.

Who put the mark of God on your forehead that you should decide what ambition and dreams anyone should have? For shame. Instead of standing on the side of encouraging hard work & dedication you tell these women to settle for what you think should be enough.
