How? What money does Ivy League female swimming make?

Nothing. Virtually all women’s collegiate sports are funded by men’s football and basketball teams’ revenue. Title IX requires that women’s sports must get 50% of a college’s athletic funding. It is the reason that most men’s minor college sports have disappeared to be replaced by women’s teams.

That said, these young women have likely spent years training to be college (and hopefully Olympic) level swimmers. And now they are starting to lose their chances for whatever fame and glory comes from that because a guy, who was an indifferent-level male swimmer has joined their team and is now setting ‘women’s records’. And to make it worse, today TG rights trump women’s rights. If they speak publicly they’ll be kicked off of their team.

“If they speak publicly they’ll be kicked off of their team.”

If they speak publicly they will have started their new life of character and integrity.

because a guy, who was an indifferent-level male swimmer has joined their team and is now setting ‘women’s records’.

I recall that was the plot of the 1982 movie "Tootsie" where an unsuccessful actor found out he could get work if he masqueraded as a woman.

Now back in 1982 that was a comedy.

Today it is a tragedy.
