Look, men and women are different - you said so yourself. That is a result of sexual dimorphism. We were built for different roles, both physically and psychologically. A traditional family has the man as the head of the household for a damn good reason, as thousands upon thousands of years of human existence have shown. This fact has nothing to do with the man or woman being the more valuable, or one being subservient to the other.
Up until 100 years ago, this was understood universally. But relentless propaganda and commie social engineering (and frankly, modern ease of life) has brainwashed millions into believing that men and women are the same and can fulfill the same roles equally. They cannot, at least not as well, and thinking that somehow the pop garbage of the last 100 years is some kind of enlightenment over all of the rest of human history is both ludicrous and arrogant.
I understand you are earnest you just miss the point.
Traditional family structure is not the only way to live. In fact it squanders the abilities of many women who could be accomplishing & contributing so much more. When talking about the ages when men were the head of the household you neglect the millennia where men dominated women by force because they are bigger & stronger. Sort of like a specialized slavery.
While “traditional roles” suit many people there should be no suggestion that men are the head of household. Households are cooperative efforts. Some households have specialized roles such that women defer to men. Whatever floats their boats.
Equal partnerships with division of tasks & labors according to abilities & inclinations is more equitable IMO and is more honest.
No one should be trying to define from outside how a married couple structures their life together as long as both are accorded the freedoms that every person has under our Constitution & the amendments thereof. The idea that women cannot perform the tasks of citizenship and are illogical is blatantly sexist and easily countered by looking around at the many women scientists, inventors, business owners as well as women running households with children, managing books, homeschooling, activities etc.
It is supremely arrogant to assert otherwise, suggesting you are so insecure you need to discount 50% of the adults in the Country without meeting them or evaluating them (which you might not be competent to do depending on their areas of expertise) just so that you can set yourself up as “in charge of the household”.
It’s a very small minded stance.
