If you read their full statement it is three doses of the existing vaccine. Th first two and a booster.

Two issues with this. Omicron is not dangerous. It is no more lethal than the common cold, which can turn into pneumonia in old or otherwise weak people. Secondly, the shot does not stop infection or spread of the virus. And that is true of any variant of the virus. So there is no reason for an Omicron version of the shot. It will not help anyone.
That said, the anti-virals are effective. All of them have better stats than the vaccines with few side effects. And many of them have been tested for decades.
To say that the government is on thin ice is to conjure up any ice at all. There is no reason whatsoever for a Omicron version of a vaccine. It is far, far worse than the disease its purported to fight. Fauci and the CDC is not just wrong here. They are criminal. Josef Mengele was not this evil.

Third issue. The actually said that one booster of the same was effective. That is three shots. They did not state six were required.

That would be a violation of best practice since if there were side effects you wouldn’t know which component, or both, caused them.
If they follow through on this, then this will be the last year I get a flu shot.
Well, this senior can’t remember getting a flu shot . . maybe I did but I’ve slept a lot since whenever it could have been.

I want someone here on FR who is vehemently pro-vaxx for COVID to explain to me how this is sensible, and also if they plan to take the additional three booster shots.

This sounds like an additional three shot sequence (to start), even for those who have already gone through a three shot sequence for the base COVID virus.

It’s very hard imagining people are going to stand in line for 3 more shots like a herd of cattle. I know people who got the dual shot but stopped right there. No boosters for them. I doubt they’ll go for an additional 3 doses.
