The argument against Conversion Therapy is based on two type of errors.
One of the errors posits that “being gay” is not a choice, that it begins in some unknown way at birth. Yet there is zero science that proves this.
The other error does not try to make an argument about why someone is “gay”, whether “born this way” or by choice, and only demands that the “gay” person has a right to accept a “gay” life and should not be deterred from it. But the latter part of that reasoning is the biggest error, because it excludes the CHOICE of the “gay” person to try to understand that they can choose to not be “gay”; and to seek help doing so if they want to.
Yes, forced Conversion Therapy should always be wrong.
But denying the right of a “gay” person to choose Conversion Therapy is TOTALLY wrong.
