Desperately Seeking White Supremacists (FBI up to something?)
Powerlineblog ^ | Dec. 7, 2021 | John Hinderaker

I started to write about this story a couple of days ago, but stopped because I wasn’t sure what to make of it. I’m still not sure, but here goes anyway, for what it is worth.

On Saturday afternoon there was a demonstration in Washington by a small group of identically clad and masked men, many of them carrying American flags. They reportedly were members of a group called the Patriot Front, which is said to be white supremacist:

A beautiful night at the Lincoln Memorial interrupted by demonstrators chanting “reclaim America.“ The crowd gave them the finger and exchanged profanities. pic.twitter.com/Z2voculi9Z— Andrea McCarren (@AndreaMcCarren) December 4, 2021

Everything about this scene is weird: the identical clothes, the masks, the plastic shields, the greaves. I don’t know; maybe white supremacists actually dress and act like this. I can’t say, as I’ve never met one.

Twitter conservatives promptly questioned whether the whole thing was staged by the FBI. For example:

Things then started to get even stranger. Stephen Green writes:

I *believe* the first person to tweet about the supposed fascist march in DC was this pretty lady. pic.twitter.com/GMs2ALDNAi— Jarvis (@jarvis_best) December 5, 2021

But here’s where it gets really weird.

Links omitted in what follows:

There’s an entire thread devoted to this mysterious young lady, who joined Twitter just last month and whose existence can’t be verified anywhere else.

Her face, experts say, appears to be an AI blend from photos easily found on an internet image search.

Jarvis, who spotted “Sheryl Lewellen,” tweeted, “There is no google history for anyone named Sheryl Lewellen. She joined Twitter a few days ago.”

So this facebot tagged a bunch of journalists in a tweet warning that “500 men with riot shields are marching in #WashingtonDC” — and that days-old account somehow managed to go viral.

Shortly after going viral, the account’s name changed to “Patriot Front,” and started posting pro-Patriot Front material instead of warnings.

Insanity Wrap just checked, and “Sheryl Lewellen” has had “her” account suspended for unknown reasons.

Most recently, the Washington Post headlines that “experts say” a “white supremacist march in D.C. was pushed by a fake Twitter account.” The article is behind a paywall, so I don’t know what it says.

I have no idea what to make of this. Was the D.C. rally, minimal as it was, a legitimate product of the Patriot Front? To what extent does such an organization actually exist, independent of federal infiltrators? How many of those who participated in Saturday’s demonstration were FBI agents? None? Some? Most? All? Why did this tiny demonstration get so much publicity when, for example, the annual March For Life draws hundreds of thousands of participants and gets little or no press coverage? What is the story with the apparently fictitious “Sheryl Lewellen”? Was she created by the Patriot Front? Or by the FBI? “She” apparently spread the word about the rally by tagging journalists. How did “she” know that journalists would jump on a report of a white supremacist rally at the Lincoln Memorial?

Heh. Just kidding about that last one. Everyone–even a non-existent AI construct–knows that journalists are desperate for news of white supremacists, the demand for which vastly exceeds the supply. White supremacists, whatever that term may mean, seem oddly reticent compared with, say, Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters, who make their presence known by burning down large sections of major cities.

People are skeptical that this was an FBI operation. Whoever it was, they have gone to a lot of trouble to keep their identities hidden, with the fabricated girl with a brand new Twitter account, and every single demonstrator (who all appear to be under 40 and in excellent shape) wearing masks and sunglasses that completely hide their faces. Smells like the FBI to me. But if it is, what are they trying to accomplish? Was it an isolated event or the start of a larger plan? I'm a little worried.

I would hope their scam is cover to sneak in grand jury and people for secret tribunals.

The question mark in the title should be a period.

Look into the Gretchen Whitmer “kidnapping” plot. IIRC, the majority of the people involved were Federal agents.

This event smells like an attempt at ginning up larger scale entrapment of a similar nature.

“Her face, experts say, appears to be an AI blend from photos easily found on an internet image search.”

It’s ridiculously easy today to create fake faces. All you have to do is go to this website and keep reloading the page until you find a face you like. None of these faces are of real people......

I confess that I know nothing about this other than what I’ve read here on FR. However, the notion that the FBI may be a part of this is, unfortunately, possible.

The “riot shields” each of the people were carrying appear to be pretty much identical and certainly could not be very cheap to acquire. It should not be hard to ID the manufacturer of the shields. Wondering if someone were to submit a FOIA request to the either the FBI or to the manufacturer, would make the sponsorship clear? I.e., follow the money.

Just my $.02

Seriously? Of course the group was created and staffed by the FIB! Why are you even slightly skeptical it isn’t?

Does this "Patriot Front" really even exist? No trouble arose from the march, so, if it was genuine, the group would admit they were there, before being auditioned/photographed for the best looking twelve for their fund-raising calendar.

This whole story is too weird.

No neck or forehead tats.

The only self identified white supremacists I ever met looked skinny and deficient in vitamins. With Nazi tats.

This Sheryl doesn’t exist. That photo is from the site called thispersondoesnotexist.com. Go to the site and do an F5 (refresh) every 10 seconds, and those people do not exist either. I can tell from the left side of Sheryl’s picture. Sometimes when the GAN is putting it all together, the peripheries get distorted.

I am sure there are white supremists somewhere but I think the number is actually pretty low. I have never met one of heard of any groups around me. I think the FBI is looking for something very hard to find. I think they are too scared to go looking for the BLM types.

I think they would have to apply for a permit to do that. Who applied for it? That would be public info I would think.

But if it is, what are they trying to accomplish?

Actually seems pretty obvious and I suspect your question is rhetorical. The American Ministry of Propaganda, aka the Media Complex, and our own incipient Gestapo, aka the Obama-cized FBI, haven't yet been able to erase the Nazi's Reichstag Fire and Polish border "provocations" from the historical record. So, the precedents and manual for this kind of operation are well established and easy to follow.

Anyone see any…you know…white supremacists?

Seriously, does anyone here even KNOW a white supremacist? I saw two at the shooting range, and honestly they creeped me out.
