Similar. Usually open rings, not solid discs. Up to 1” in diameter or so.

Now that's for sure. Their mistake was calling the guy back.

Don't think they had much choice, the guy was a transfer from their offices in a different State, and came with decent recommendations.

Your assumptions are nonsense. Even in California businesses have dress codes.

Less and less. The times, they are a changin'

California becomes 1st state to ban hairstyle discrimination

He should apply to say a law firm and see if he can get hired.

I read the article and looked over to the sidebar and saw this:

I wonder if Machine-Gun-Kelly could get a job outside of being a rapper looking as weird as he does.
Somehow he managed to nail er.. date Megan Kelly.

The thing is that when dreadlocks came about some decades ago, they were also considered unkempt and disgusting, even in Jamaica.

There are still jobs you can't get in Jamaica if you're sporting dreadlocks.

Took you 2 days to dig up an obscure 'Kalifornia' law that was passed in 2019 that has NOTHING to do with objecting to dress codes. But only objecting to(not the hairstyle dress-code itself) but to what type of hairstyles ARE acceptable by the code.

Do you know how to read???

This upset whining blacks who claim that 'they' themselves were being discriminated against because they wear braids, twists and locks which are not hairstyles that are acceptable by certain employers in order to get hired.

This isn't about codes! It's about blacks telling employers that they must include braids, twists and locks as being acceptable hairstyles or its RACIST! It's racist because those particular hairstyles are what black people wear... and they aren't about to change their hair style for no job or employer dress code!

LOL! Then you DON'T GET HIRED!

Has NOTHING to do with race! Has everything to do with entitled blacks pushing their weight around if they are offended in any way! Cutting their hair OFFENDS them! Not because they are black... because they THINK it's because they are black!

These whining blacks felt they are 'SPECIAL', and that whatever hairstyle they chose to wear didn't have to comply with an employers acceptable standards for a job. These whining entitled blacks believe an employer has no say over its choice to control what is or what is not acceptable for the look, conduct, dress or attitude of their employees.

If a black person won't comply... it's not because the hairstyle requirements are unreasonable, oh no not at all. It's because the requirements don't allow blacks to have what THEY want. And like the spoiled children they are... if they don't get what they want, they are offended, throw a tantrum and cry racist!

Blacks don't look at themselves as individuals... they react and behave as part of a group-think mentality/identity. Like a herd/collective, a demographic. Example... You don't accept hairstyles that are braids, twists and locks??? It's because you don't like black people and you're a racist!

From the article you didn't read...

"Federal courts have historically held that hair is a characteristic that can be changed, meaning there's no basis for discrimination complaints based on hairstyle."

Did you really think it through first?? Or do you just throw your stupidity around with pretentious flare, and then try to cover up your ignorance with this cut/paste crap?

Times are not a changin'... only blacks are getting more and more entitled, wanting more and more special treatment, because they can play the race card to get what they want.

I'll say it again, since it didn't sink in the first time...

Your assumptions are nonsense. Even in California businesses have dress codes.

Have a nice day, junior.

My X was a hairdresser. She told me that they very rarely are able to wash their dreads, because they would fall apart. They don’t really have that long of hair, it is extensions of hair and “what not”.
