COVID Cases In South Africa’s Omicron Epicenter Decline Even As Hysteria Rattles Global Markets

With so many contradictory comments hitting the wire, investors might be struggling to parse what omicron actually means for the global economy. Will the mutated virus cut through vaccine-induced immunity like butter leading to another global outbreak? Or is the latest variant scare merely a ruse for vaccine-makers to hawk more jabs, while governments from the US, to Europe and elsewhere now have the cover to make vaccinations and boosters mandatory? There's very little hard data available. But what is available warrants due consideration.

For example, the latest data out of South Africa, where scientists initially sounded the international alarm over omicron, suggest that the variant isn't causing the surge in cases that many feared might emerge.

COVID cases in Guateng, seen as the epicenter of South Africa's COVID outbreak, and the cauldron from which omicron emerged, declined to 1,909 on Nov. 29 from 2,308 a day earlier. The day before that, the number in Gauteng was just 2,629, showing two straight days of successive declines. But this data has been largely ignored by the mainstream press peddling FUD about the new variant.

A chart showing the 7-day average in South Africa, the EU and the US over the past year shows omicron hasn't caused a surge in new cases. In fact, COVID numbers are relatively stable, despite the fact that a growing number of developed nations - most recently Japan - has imposed travel restrictions on South Africa and its neighbors.

The number of confirmed omicron cases around the world is still relatively tiny (although the exact number of confirmed cases of omicron globally remains unclear). But the EU has recorded at least 44 confirmed cases of the omicron variant in 11 countries, including the Netherlands, which purportedly saw its first cases of omicron arrive weeks ago. Dutch authorities said the variant had arrived in Europe as early as Nov. 19, prior to the arrival of two flights from South Africa that are believed to have carried the virus.

If the data does show a need for new COVID vaccines to combat the new variant, the EMA says new jabs could be developed and approved within three to four months.

But so far, the numbers show no severe cases of illness or death tied to the new variant.

But setting aside the impact on cases, hospitalizations and deaths, Economists' big fear right now is that the omicron panic could dent consumer confidence, which could in turn serve to weaken the recovery, particularly in the UK and Europe where the situation is more delicate, and where lockdowns across the Continent have made things more complicated this far into what some have described as a "fourth wave" of COVID some believe to be driven by seasonal factors. In Germany, chancellor-in-waiting Olaf Scholz said he would consider vaccine mandates.

Going forward, investors will need to parse for themselves whether governments and vaccine-makers' warnings about omicron are self-serving, or legitimate concerns based on data.

You would seem to have some inaccurate information. “No mutations until shots showed up” — the Alpha variant from the mutations that created B.1.1.7 was found in UK samples gathered in September 2020. The UK’s AstraZeneca-Oxford vax was not approved for UK use until December 2020. Of course the US vaccines were approved for use also in December 2020, but delayed a month or so in the UK for approval.

There may be misunderstanding here about how mutation takes place. Millions of replication events occur within infected cells. This particular virus replicates in an unstable way — which means replication is often not precise. The new virus particle doesn’t look like the parent virus, and this happens randomly. Now, what CAN happen is surrounding cells may have their receptors clogged, as it were, by vax induced antibodies. So that newly mutated virion can’t get in to infect a new cell and replicate 100s more. But that’s one virion. Over 1000s, one may get past the defense.

What this will mean is only those that are shaped in such a way to get past the vax-induced antibody defense can infect a cell and replicate. The phrasing can be that the vax “created” the new virus strain, but there is no particular creation event. It’s all random, but the randomness gets funneled towards strains that can get around the defense and that’s the strain that multiplies. Presto, vaccine escape.

So no question, immunity of any kind — vax or natural — will eventually be defeated by the random replications that are successful infecting cells against the immunity.

Smallpox would have wiped out humanity in total if it had been as unstable in replication as this corona virus is. Smallpox replicated in a stable way. Same with polio. That’s how they were eradicated by vaccine.

Corona is unstable, and worse, it likely has an animal reservoir. People should not delude themselves. This is a potential extinction scenario.

Owen....I’m sure you’re much more well versed in immunology, epidemiology, etc etc etc..... or should I say....blah blah blah

Corona is unstable, and worse, it likely has an animal reservoir. People should not delude themselves. This is a potential extinction scenario.

For every person like you that wants to push the end of times, without any debate, proof or review, there are just as many that will disagree. However, the fear mongers are the ones on tv and radio all day. No one else.

People don’t survive the flu. They get over the flu. That being said, as someone that had covid in January 2020, before they gave it a name:

99.7% of the people that get it, get over it. Many do so without any therapeutics at all. Some with fluids and Tylenol. Some with Ivermectin and Doxycycline and Zinc.

1000s died, or were murdered depending on how you want to look at it, after being treated incorrectly. Something that is still happening to this day.

Doctors and researchers that challenged the Fauci/Birx/Gates/CDC/NIH mantra were dismissed without debate, or worse.

There are doctors all over the country that have been using $3 worth of drugs to deal with covid positive patients and all are dismissed by the folks I mentioned previously.

So, am I concerned that this is a “potential extinction scenario”? NOPE.

I don’t think you’ll find many suggesting extinction. You were just lucky to encounter me.

I wouldn’t call it lucky. And your thoughts do not matter to me.

From what I can read you’re among the many on here that have enthusiastically joined Fauci’s cult; you seem to believe that this thing did come from bats; you seem to believe that the PCR tests actually test and identify the covid virus, when it’s proven that it cannot differentiate between covid and the flu; the flu was basically conveniently eradicated last year and because of that EVERYONE had covid except for a meager 1700 or so; you seem to have no issue with the fact that Fauci has been caught lying time and time again......but hey, that’s cool. That’s your right to believe whatever you want. Just as it is mine to believe what I want.

Here ya go, Owen. Lots and lots of data for you to dive into to come up with a conclusion that supports your own bias.

Authorities are manipulating death-rate figures because the actual rates show the Fully Vaccinated are 286% more likely to die of Covid-19

Is ‘Coincidence’ to blame for the sudden spike in Stillbirths, Newborn Deaths, and Menstrual Disorders? Or is it time to admit the Covid Vaccines have consequences?
