The world is coming to an end. 9 people tested “positive” and their close contacts were registered in a database.
On Sunday, Chief Minister of the Northern Territory Michael Gunner said that a 78-year-old woman was treated at the Royal Darwin Hospital. The area’s remaining eight cases and 38 close contacts have been transferred to the Howard Springs quarantine center.........Human beings. Citizens of Australia being transferred to an internment camp for a virus that 99.7%, or more, people get over within a few days. Most with nothing more than Tylenol and some rest.

The Australian government does have a tracking app, but it was never mandated, and hardly anybody used it, so it mostly abandoned now. I never saw anyone use it. I think most of the individual states have a Covid app, but to my knowledge, none are mandated, not even in Victoria.
Yes, I am vaccinated, but I strongly opposed that anyone is required to have them and opposed to all mandates and I am against young children being vaccinated. I believe that it the individual's choice to make their own health decision on whether to get vaccinated.
There has been a lot misinformation about the military's involvement and putting a few Aboriginals in quarantine facilities in the Northern Territories(NT). I could explain, but I do not believe you are the type of individual that actually reads or listens to counterpoints and it doesn't look like you are much really interested in learning about Australia. So I will try to give you just a little bit of information. The NT is a territory like Guam (especially Guam on the military presence) or Puerto Rico with little resources of it own and practically no police force. It is twice as large as Texas, but has less than 250,000 people, half living in Darwin. There is a large presence of Australia military and the USA military. There are about 75,000 aboriginals who own almost 50% of the land, and many live in squalid conditions, even though Australia has poured in Billions of dollars to support them, and they also have free medical. The reason the military was involved, is that they are already there in the NT and they do not have enough police. The quarantine facilities for the aboriginals are much better facilities than many have for their own homes, and they are only there for a few days during the quarantine. Many aboriginals are happy in living in those facilities. As I posted many times, it is a myth that we do not have any guns. Since the restrictions were put in place around 25 years ago, we have more guns now than before legally with gun owners, and the average gun owner has twice as many guns. Yes, it is true it is almost impossible to get a semi-automatic rife, unless you are a professional hunter, but shotguns and handguns are fairly easy to obtains. I support your 2nd Amendment, and if I live in the USA with all the violence in the major cities I would buy as many as I could afford. There has never been a gun culture in Australia because we did not revolt against the British and they did not take our guns away. Very few people in the cities had guns in the first place,and most were in the hands of rural people, so there was little resistance to the restrictions as almost all rural people, like farmers and hunter, we able to keep there guns. We have small political party, called the "Shooters, Fisherman and Farmers Party" that have a few elected members and fights for their rights.

Residents of Binjari and Rockhole no longer have the five reasons to leave their homes,” said Northern Territory chief minister, Michael Gunner, referring to the country’s five allowable reasons to avoid lockdown (buying food and supplies, exercising for up to two hours, care or caregiving, work or education if it can’t be done from home, and to get vaccinated at the nearest possible location)......Can’t even leave their homes to buy food.
“I contacted the Prime Minister last night. We are grateful for the support of about 20 ADF personnel, as well as army trucks to assist with the transfer of positive cases and close contacts.....but don’t worry, if you test positive you’re not mature or smart enough to deal with it yourself and even if you don’t have but contact tracing determines that you were near someone, off to the gulag with you. When the project was finished the Japanese gave the facilities to the Northern Territory in 2019. Now on the average with returning Aussies from overseas and housing the few aboriginals, it has on the average only 600 people. The overview of the large site, makes it look like it holds many people (it can), but that because it was first built for the 3500 Japanese, but at the peak of construction there were 8000 (only 1000 were local) workers who had to be housed and it was expanded.
You might not like the policy, but Australians returning to Australia had to spend 14 days in quarantine. In the past, they were put up in hotels in the downtown cities (some states are still doing it). It didn't work very well, as many of the workers at the hotels got the Covid, so they started bringing some overseas to the facilities in the Northern Territory to house these people.

They normally just stay for 14 days. The facilities are fairly basic, but clean and in most cases, much better than where some of the aboriginals live in squalid conditions(their own choice) in the NT. This story in the Washington Post (I know, a very lefty media site), tells the story of an Aussie returning home and his experiences staying there for the 14 days. It shows what the rooms and food look like. They are hardly concentration camps.
