“What’s changed?”

Well for one thing the U.S. is essentially bankrupt at this point and on the verge of losing reserve currency status, which makes billions in foreign aide absolutely crazy.

Why are we funding the world, while contributing to inflation at home?

Trump was VERYpro Israel. I would have liked to see him cut all foreign aid.

I don’t think that opposing all foreign aid is Antisemtic.

The blame should be put on Omar and The Squad.

I will say as someone who is a conservative/libertarian, that Rand is looking better all the time. I’ve criticized him in the past for not going as far as he should, but he probably learned from his father’s experience to take baby steps. He’s been great in going after Fauci and going against mandates, which is more than I can say for Trump who considers himself a hero for the disastrous “warp speed” and the dangerous vaccine it rolled out too quickly. I’m now more in the DeSantis/Paul camp now, and really appreciate them fighting the mandates. Let Trump do other things, it’s not imperative that he run again.

Yes there is a reason I like(d) Trump and America First.

If it means cutting foreign aid then sign me up!
:-))

Some people call this “isolationist” though and I think try and hit Trump with that charge.

In all honesty they will have too wait their turn.

Although I’m hopeful Trump picks Rand as a running mate.

If he’s serious about tackling the out of control spending there is only one logical choice to pick as running mate and that is the most fiscally conservative senator.

We don’t want another Pence.

Wishful thinking, Trump would never pick Rand as a running mate and I doubt Rand is interested anyway.

“Some people call this “isolationist” though and I think try and hit Trump with that charge.”

They’ve moved well past calling him an “isolationist”, he’s now referred to as a racist, xenophobic nationalist. What they really means is that he’s not onboard with their globalist agenda. That’s what it’s all about - globalism vs nationalism (America first).

After realizing six million Jews died in World War II death
camps, it's hard for me to side with folks who think we
don't have a vested interest in helping Israel continue to
exist.

The 2020 Budget of the United States was $4.79 trillion dollars.

The United states actually spent $6.60 trillion dollars in 2020.

This $1.0 billion represents so little compared to our overall
budget, that it's laughable to make an issue of it.

We hand out between $600 billion and $1 trillion dollars to
people who have decided not to work (for generations).

That's where I'd start.

I know it seems laughable and miniscule in the grand scheme of things but Rand is making a point of good housekeeping.

I kind of respect him for that and find myself rooting for him...

There are some things I like about Rand also. I have come to
the place where I could never support him for higher office.
In the grand scheme of things, he truly doesn’t get it.

Agreed. Why help Epstein’s and Maxwell’s employers?
