Hey, if you are going to yank a person’s name off a building? Fine. Everybody has skeletons that will surface sooner or later. Do they outweigh positive contributions? Probably not, given the era. But to remove a name to please an under educated mobs’ demands and replace the name with another (skeletons yet to be discovered) is cowardly, spiteful and childish.
