Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said in a statement that the country's borders would be closed to all foreigners due to concerns about the omicron variant and that Israeli citizens coming into the country would have to quarantine, regardless of their vaccination status.
The statement, issued on Saturday, said that beginning at midnight between Sunday and Monday, the country’s borders would be closed to international travelers for two weeks pending approval from the government, Reuters reported.

Incredible. The entire world is going insane over what will turn out to be a minor development. Just like all the post-holiday “surges” that never happen, this is a fabricated cause for alarm.

It’s weird. Is he just closing them for politics, does it help his image in some way, some focus driven consultant’s recommendation based on possibly unrelated issues?
Is there a wider purpose, some type of precedent setting objective that they want to use the recent variant news to accomplish?
They’ll say it’s science based, but I don’t see how based on what we are reading, it’s like swatting a fly with a shotgun.

Treatment sounds good. It will have the same issues of chasing mutations, but I’m thumbs up on treatment.

Personally, I was astonished that in what seemed to be only 48 hours WHO had an emergency meeting, the UK shut off travel from various places and then the US, too.
This looks a LOT more serious than what is public.
Probably useful to remember that when a disaster looms, until the elite have their families secure we won’t be told about it.
