WTH?
A few hours ago the new dangerous mutation was Nu, and a single case in SA.
Next thing we know they’ll say they found it here in the US in a sample taken the week before Thanksgiving and set the stage for the next ‘surge’...
We all knew this was coming.

I think “Nu” didn’t fare well in the focus groups, whereas Omicron does have an ominous ring to it.
And a few hours before that, it was the Botswana strain. (But I guess that was racist.)
