I wish someone could explain to me why leftist racists so frequently use that particular phrase. It sounds so degrading and demeaning!

Let me hazard a guess. The left loves emotional catch phrases such as "black lives matter", "no justice, no piece" and such. When they use "black bodies", I think they want to generate an emotional image of dead black men to punctuate whatever anti-white screed they're trying to promote.
