Following the departures of Jonah Goldberg and Stephen Hayes from Fox News, a new report says the network has seen a significant level of an internal dispute over the conspiracy theories espoused by Tucker Carlson.
New York Times media columnist Ben Smith reported on Sunday that Goldberg and Hayes walked out because of Patriot Purge, Carlson’s 3-part Fox Nation docuseries about the storming of the U.S. Capitol. Fact-checkers and media commentators have been tearing Patriot Purge to shreds for boosting known propagandists and advancing unsubstantiated claims about January 6th.
NPR’s David Folkenflik reported on this development new details that had not yet been known: Senior Fox News figures voiced their own concerns about the dubious claims advanced by Patriot Purge and Fox’s opinion side. The report states that Bret Baier and Chris Wallace went as far as raising their objections to the network’s leaders.
The piece goes on to illustrate how Fox’s news division aired segments that distanced themselves from Carlson’s claims. Carlson declined to comment on that when reached by NPR, but he mocked Goldberg and Hayes over their leave-taking, saying it “will substantially improve the channel.”
“These are two of the only people in the world who still pretend the Iraq war was a good idea,” Carlson said. “No one wants to watch commentary that stupid.”
A Fox executive said the network had no intention of re-signing Steve Hayes or Jonah Goldberg when their contracts came up in 2022.

I still DVR Gutfeld and occasionally watch Tucker and sometimes the Secret Service guy but that's it.
I used to watch Maria and the Judge and Levin but they are too easy with the faux line.
Levine is not too easy but he is too loud.

I have only seen the Ray Epps portion of the documentary. That said, I found it quite compelling. It certainly raised valid questions regarding Epps’ behavior and the FBI’s failure to take any action against him. I would think Bair, Wallace, and NPR would at least be curious about this or perhaps provide facts that would debunk the story.
When Hayes and BrettB., throw a fit about the MSM propaganda and lies, I will care and listen to their critique of Tucker.

I recently read Chris Wallace’s book about the hunt for UBL.
Geez that guy is a tool. He couldn’t help himself and took shots at Trump through the book. He also kissed The One’s ass through the thing too. Otherwise, it would have been recommended reading.
I have not watched Fox News since they called AZ for the Vegetable on election night 2020.Fox recently announced they're bringing back, for 2022 and 2024, the Never-Trumper Decisions Desk Chief that made that Arizona call for Biden.
They got away with it once, they'll do it again.

The Fox News hatred for Trump and his supporters hasn't been removed from the corporate headquarters. They're doubling down with the same never-Trumpers they had in 2020.

There are two lessons from this, as well as the Jonah Goldberg and Steven Hayes’s resignation from Fox.
1) Never believe that the response to the Patriot’s Guided Tour of the Capitol on January 6 is not a deadly serious matter. For the bad guys, it is ENORMOUSLY important. And don’t kid yourself that they lack the means to turn it into a world-changing moment, because they have the means, in spades.
2) And look who has ambitions to stay on the good side of the emerging regime, whose cloaking devices are now working poorly. Jonah Goldberg. Steven Hayes. Brett Baier. Chris Wallace. The matter has been put to them in words of iron. “Conform. Repeat the lies. Don’t imagine we can’t be rid of you if you don’t. We can, and we will”.
I imagine the end game is impeachment and conviction of Donald Trump, with disqualification from future office as the punishment. That’s what this is all about.
Not for Jan.6 but for their silence on what Fox did Nov.2020.

I still remember at the first Presidential debate back in 2016, there was Brett Brier, little chrissy wallace and the Megan Kelly that were determined to knock Donald J. Trump down on the first debate. So, I haven’t had any use for any of them ever since.
