At this point it’s conceivable that he was fleeing from a crime. We need to find out more, but he’s scum either way. It’s possible that he was being chased by police, didn’t know about the parade, and crashed the barricades when he saw them, maybe even believing the barricades had been set up to stop him. Either way he needs to have the book thrown at him, but let’s not be like the left and insist that the motive must be the one we want it be, even when we don’t have all the facts yet.
When do you think it occured him to accelerate instead of turning left down open side streets? The 1st white granny to come over the hood? The 5th kid? How about just stopping the car instead of flooring it the length of the parade route.
