My heart broke when I heard an eyewitness who is also a nurse. Her family was watching the parade from the sidewalk. Because the streets are so wide many bring their lawn chairs to watch in the streets. When she went out to help treat people the second victim was a boy about 7 years old. He had a pulse, and was bloody from head injury. He was beginning to turn purple when the EMT’s got to him. When we hear of the deaths I am afraid he will be listed among them. Poor kid, the nurse said she did not see any adults with him,only her and another nurse who was helping her.
How awful.
