The likelihood of him actually serving life without parole is about as sure of a thing as his execution was about 6 months ago.

Here’s a guy in Texas. The Sorosite DA got him off of death row, and then the parole board sprung him from prison.

Compasionate early release? Racial Reparations? Victim’s close relatives pass away? All excuses used to get killers out of prison.

And the Bishop of Rome will probably stick his nose in it at some point.

This isn’t Texas. Parole board already recommended life with parole and that was denied - permanently.

As a condition of granting clemency, Stitt ordered that Jones shall never be eligible to apply for or be considered for a commutation, pardon or parole for the rest of his life.

Stitt’s decision veers slightly from the Pardon and Parole Board’s recommendation to reduce Jones’ sentence to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Under that scenario, Jones would have immediately been eligible for parole on his murder conviction.
