With 7 women on the jury, invariably at least three or four are “to hell with evidence, it’s about how I feel” liberals, and that’s a bad mix anywhere.

Some years ago I was on a jury in an attempted murder case that hinged largely on police identification of the defendant shortly after the shooting. After a two-week trial when we got into the jury room to deliberate, within five minutes, one of the jurors (a middle-age black woman) leaned back in her chair and said she didn't believe the defendant was even there. And that was basically it. She never budged from her initial opinion and didn't participate much in the deliberations. After three days we were deadlocked 7-5 for acquittal. There were only about five people who actually talked and argued during the process.

Exactly... when a lib settles on a mindset, they can’t be negotiated off it. They’ve made their “mind” up and refuse to be moved by facts.
