The Judge is not going to declare a mistrial either with or without prejudice, so the Judge is hoping for a not guilty verdict from the jury to bail him out.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. He can keep this hot potato in the jury’s hands. Didn’t the defense file for a mistrial with prejudice night before last?
He could’ve done it already if he was so inclined. We’ll see what happens, it ain’t over ‘til it’s over.

Yes. Judge wants the jury to take the heat for the verdict.

He does NOT want to take the responsibility for dismissing the case regardless of the obvious misconduct by the prosecutors.

Irony bodily is pointing out: Leftists are begging for a teen victim (he was clearly hit with the skateboard and threatened) to go to jail. Rooting for the prosecutors. Begging for police to come and help them.

Conservatives are seeing how politicized these DA offices are. Think they wouldn’t set up another defendant outside the glaring lights of national media? What chance does the average defendant have?

Criminal justice system is a people grinding machine and rarely produces “Justice.”

The riots also show Hobbes was more accurate than Locke about human nature in a post Christian America.
