An interesting way of leaking without really leaking that BIDEN will be stepping down and when this happens there WILL BE a vacancy for the VP slot because Kamala will be POTUS.

If Biden resigns the Presidency, then that would would be the forth way for the VP to “leave” office, but in these circumstances Biden will not actually leave office under the 25th Amendment. In all disability cases the VP becomes the “Acting President” since it is possible for the President to resume his powers and for the VP to resume her office. This means while serving as “Acting President” she is still the VP as detailed in the 25th Amendment, and no VP replacement may be named. The President may be relieved of his duties, but not the office.

Which leads to interesting questions as to her ability to break ties in the 50/50 Senate as VP while also serving as “Acting President”. This also implies that time spent as “Acting President” might not count against the 22nd Amendment two years and a day term limits if Biden would resume his duties to keep her non-sequential “Acting President” time under said limit. Just theoretical musing as I do not think she could be elected President on her own.
