FBI investigated and is still assisting the prosecution.
Think how stupid Kyle’s “plan” was. Run to danger with a fire extinguisher. Surrounded by dozens of people and we know at least one fired the first shot. Kyle could have been easily killed that night.
Other shots were going off as he left the scene. Any of those could have been fatal.
Self defense.
Now the gun charge wasn’t proven either so they can’t convict him of that either.
