Here are some slides on “emergent intelligence” in AI and how and why it will work.

It shows examples of things we see today in the physical world where “the sum is greater than the parts”.

(The authors think true AI is a good thing, and I totally disagree with that view, btw.)

It is human prejudice and arrogance that is in denial about the (imho evil) potential of true AI.
