How could that be? The male/female breakdown in almost every society is close to 50/50, usually something like 51% female and 49% male. If there is a larger gap among the poor, it is because of things like divorce and out-of-wedlock births, not "climate change."

I find that strange.
Poverty does not have to be divvied up proportionally by demo.
In the past the US usually has more poor men. Or, at least, the vast majority of vagrants are men.
May be different for the world at large, which really is largely sexist.

Which is to say that the women end up raising their kids by themselves. That’s tough on mama and the kids.
