I think Kyle is screwed on that one. While the article rightly points out a technical "loophole", the spirit of the law appears to be to exclude minors who are legally hunting. If he is convicted only on that misdemeanor charge, he might have a successful appeal in a court where the law can be argued exactly as written, but this trial is probably not the place to do that. If he is acquitted of all the other charges, I'll take that as a win.
Agreed, and I suspect only a guilty verdict on the underage possession in his mind would be a very good outcome.
