Republican Ann Davison as of 8 pm Tuesday night was holding an 18 percent lead over Antifa supporting candidate Nicole Thomas- Kennedy.
During the ongoing riots in Seattle in August of 2020, Thomas-Kennedy referred to police as "armed thugs," supported black bloc Antifa activists and tweeted that "Property destruction is a moral imperative." She also praised activists for blocking ambulances in a now-deleted tweet and looked for a staging area for rioters between Seattle and Portland.

Seattle may be seeing a return to common sense candidates in other local races. Moderate Democrat Sara Nelson is also holding a more than 20 percent lead over police and prison abolitionist Nikkita Oliver. Moderate Ken Wilson is trailing Antifa supporting City Council Member Teresa Mosqueda by only 4 percent. Mayoral candidate Bruce Harrell, a more moderate Democrat and former City Council President, holds a commanding lead, almost 30 percent, over current City Council President Lorena Gonzalez who advocated to defund the police and presided over the armed occupation of Seattle during the deadly autonomous zone. Late Tuesday evening, King 5 News has called the race for Harrell after totals showed him collecting more than 65 percent of the vote.

The moderates will just apologize to Antifa and BLM.
