Toronto-based video platform Rumble, which is popular among conservative viewers, will establish its U.S. headquarters on Longboat Key.

The platform provides video creators a way to host, manage, distribute and create feeds and monetize their content, according to Rumble’s website. Rumble has signed a lease for a property on Longboat Key, according to a press release announcing the move.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rumble to Florida, and we support its mission to promote free expression and stand up to Big Tech censorship,” Gov. Ron DeSantis said in the news release. “Over the past year, we have seen businesses flock to Florida from across the country because, as long as I am Governor, our state will be free and built for opportunity. We wish Rumble all the best in their endeavors in Florida, and we look forward to watching their success.”

Erin Silk, the vice president of business development services for the EDC, said last week that the company is committed to creating 165 new tech jobs in Sarasota County over the next five years.

The U.S. headquarters will ultimately employ 41 management employees, who will make $170,000 on average, and 124 non-management employees, who will make $80,000 on average.

Still confusion if they are moving their global headquarters out of Canada to get away from possible new laws that may limit speech or if this is just the US headquarters

That’s a nice place to have an office! I’ll bet the stuffy Democrat local-retirees are having a cow over this. Lucious.

I wonder how long that’ll last until a Cat 4 or 5 comes blasting through there.

If they move their HQ to Florida then they will be a Florida firm safe from the crushing censorship and tyranny of the douchebag regime in Ottawa.

Spent a week down there in a beach front hotel a couple of times....makes coming back to the beaches up here in northeast Florida pretty much unbearable.

Longboat Key straddles Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Conservative area.

Dave Rubin said Rumble was moving to Florida. Makes perfect sense given that Canada does not have a robust first amendment like the US. Besides, most of Rumble’s backers are American.

Uhhh, You didn’t hear this from me, BUT, Trump Media is set to merge with Digital out of Miami. (AWAC W&U). They are a “buying” agency. No assets, just buys companies.
And Trump Media (tmtgcorp.com) wants to buy and create non-biased media outlets.
And then Rumble, a very conservative media outlet pulls up its snowshoes from chilly Canada and moves to warm, sunny mid-Gulf Florida. Longboat Key, across the State from Palm Beach and Miami, but still pretty darn close.
Hmmm. Inquiring minds would like to know...
(And yes, I’ve bought AWAC). Went from under $10/share the week previous, to $175 and now settled back to $64 today. Go Trump Media!
