Moderate? Moderate what? People calling themselves “moderates” always drives me crazy, because it is meaningless. “Moderate” is not a noun, it’s an adjective. So what is the noun? You have to be a “moderate” something, such as a “moderate” Republican or “moderate” Democrat, or using the terms here, “moderately conservative” or “moderately” liberal.

Maybe “Confused” would be a better label for that group of voters.
