Up until the 70’s, the Democrats were the party of religious working class urban Catholics and rural Evangelicals.
The GOP was the party of wealthy, decadent, wife swapping executives.....The GOP Establishment still are.
That’s why they’ve been stabbing social Conservatives in the back for the last 50 years. They hate them....they just want their votes.
