Eco zealots have latched onto natural disasters as proof of climate change. This is their weakest argument yet. Natural disasters have been documented since ancient history. What happened to rising seal levels?

How come tree ring proof is never allowed?

Why? Because it would show that over 1,000 years, in places like California, drought is the normal state of the environment. 100 year droughts are far more normal wet years.

Here in Los Angeles we had one of the coolest summers in what seemed liked decades. There were very few days where the temps reached 90, and I don’t recall we hit 100 degrees at all.

Isn’t it, though? Of course we know that when the Constitution, laws, or norms “stymie” you, the thing to do is to find a “work around” by issuing dictatorial fiats

And the media amplify all of this, with their pushing any bad weather as being due to global warming.

And storms such as the remnants of Hurricane Ida, which caused flooding in New York City, get tons of coverage precisely because the media are centered in New York City.

Tell a big lie often enough, as they say? The media have been pit bulls on this for years, that events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, fires in California and other western states, and snowstorms, are due to global warming. They make it seem that these events never happened before the era of global warming.

The Weather Channel in recent years has taken to naming snowstorms, as if they should have a name the way we name hurricanes.

Simple fact: the earth has always experienced climate change. In addition, the planet has always experienced earthquakes. Because earthquakes are a far greater hazard to Los Angeles than any climate change we are currently experiencing, why not "go big" on preventing earthquakes? Tell Crazy Joe to drop another trillion (or twenty) on sheep's bladders - I hear they work great...
