Exactly. I bet they rushed to blame Kyle Rittenhouse, or George Zimmerman
Hell, I'd go berserk if somebody pointed an "empty" gun at me (first rule of gun safety: Treat all guns as if they are always loaded.).
I was at my local gun shop one day when some lady was looking at a gun she had purchased. She began waving it around, and I ducked! Luckily the gun shop guy reached across and yanked the gun out of her hands.
She apparently didn't understand what the problem was. BTW, after her purchase, she wanted to go buy ammo, but the gun dealer told her she REALLY should first get some training. She was miffed and proceeded to walk over to the area where ammo was sold. He called that area and told them NOT to sell her ammo. He told me "She'll probably go buy it at some other store, but at least we didn't sell it to her".
Extraordinary story of Jon-Erik Hexum – the actor who died playing Russian roulette on his own TV show and whose donated heart saved a Las Vegas pimp’s life
I for one don’t think Baldwin wanted to kill anyone. I do believe it’s very possible he was negligent. I’m certain he’ll pay a steep price both emotionally and financially.
A prop weapon, such as a gun or sword, looks functional, but lacks the intentional harmfulness of the corresponding real weapon. In the theater, prop weapons are almost always either non-operable replicas, or have safety features to ensure they are not dangerous. Guns fire caps or noisy blanks, swords are dulled, and knives are often made of plastic or rubber. In film production, fully functional weapons are mostly used, but typically only with special smoke blanks with blank adapted guns instead of real bullets. Real cartridges with bullets removed are still dangerously charged which has caused several tragic instances when used on stage or film. The safety and proper handling of real weapons used as movie props is the premiere responsibility of the prop master. ATF and other law enforcement agencies may monitor the use of real guns for film and television, but this is generally not necessary with stage props as these guns are permanently "plugged".
I agree except maybe the negligence. I don’t know the law well enough to have a meaningful input on that.
Since the Democrats stole the Election of 2020 and the Globalist Totalitarians have used the Coronavirus Bio-weapon to deprive people of their inalienable rights, there are now Five Rules of Firearm Safety. (The first needed to prevent the other four from being meaningless).
The Five Rules of Firearms Safety:
1. Don't ever let the government take your guns.
2. All guns are always loaded.
3. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
4. Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
5. Identify your target (and what is behind it).
Selleck was/is a regular hunter. No doubt aware of firearm safety.
I rod every weapon before I put it away.
You do not point a gun at someone when filming. Editing will make it look like you are.
‘How does a blank round go through a person and then seriously wound another??’
answer is, it doesn’t...it had to be a live round...
unless perhaps it was a dummy cartridge, loaded for some purpose or other and left in the firearm...I think that’s what killed Brandon Lee, the dummy cartridge being projected by the blank round...
Feel ZERO sympathy for this flaming sack of crap..I feel sorry for the woman he murdered..gee, he was always complaining about Jan 6th and here we were, no protestor killed anyone on Jan 6th, but Baldwin did
In the Old West they used black powder. Lots of smoke. Practically impossible to CGI.
Lock that bastard up.
We don’t know it wasn’t murder.
Negligent Homicide at the least.
Not likely; they’ll ban any reports of woundings and deaths due to prop guns.
Who said that was part of the Rust script?
Where in the script did it call for the shooting of an off-camera cinematographer? Seems like someone was F’ing around. Probably making an anti2A joke as he was doing it.
