Bout time. are these guys stupid or what? Governors in these states need to very clearly state to the companies that they are not immune from lawsuits for damages due to the vaccine mandates. period. And then proceed to make sure they get every adverse reaction to the vaccines logged and prepped for the laws suits.
Explains it all!
Sylvester McFauxi McBiden.
I hope Oklahoma’s Governor Stitt is serious. There is going to be a mandate protest October 23 from 4-7 in front of Ascension Hospital in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. From what is being said Ascension, a Catholic health provider, is rejecting ALL religious exemptions. You would think they would respect the employees beliefs, but the Pope is pretty radical.
My employer, a large Midwest grocery chain, has posted a notice that due to “federal regulations” all employees must submit their proof of COVID vaccination by next Friday. I say this is BS, violates HIPPA and puts my private medical information in the hands of my employer. However, I work in the People’s Republic of Minnesota so comrade you better submit or off to the gulag.
King Henry V: What’s he that wishes so?
My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin:
If we are mark’d to die, we are enow
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
God’s will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires:
But if it be a sin to covet honour,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England:
God’s peace! I would not lose so great an honour
As one man more, methinks, would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made
And crowns for convoy put into his purse:
We would not die in that man’s company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is called the feast of Crispian:
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say ‘To-morrow is Saint Crispian:’
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
And say ‘These wounds I had on Crispin’s day.’
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he’ll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day: then shall our names.
Familiar in his mouth as household words
Harry the king, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember’d.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember’d;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.
What the...???
Rousing speech from Shakespeare, meant to put fire in the bellies of combatants. Attorneys General use different weapons and fight on a different battlefield. But Shakespeare’s words still ring true.
Okay, makes sense. Thanks.
Third AG is from Arizona; per the article:
“Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, a Republican, already filed a lawsuit against Biden’s vaccine requirement, arguing that it would violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution. The mandate would treat American workers differently than illegal immigrants who are crossing into the United States from Mexico, arguing that illegal aliens are able to decline the vaccine.”
If people that got the shots, plus people who are in between shots, as well as those who haven’t taken any shots, decline to disclose, then the company will be in a bind.
How can you file suit against something that has not yet happened?
Companies are already firing employees. Are these AG doing anything to protect workers or just doing a CYA lawsuit? Seems like the target here should be businesses enforcing a non existent mandate. But that would require the GOP to actually do something.
That should be the company's decision. I think that government mandates that corporations must require vaccines are just as bad as government mandates that corporations can't require vaccines. Both are government overreach.
Neither the hospitals nor the “pope” are Catholic.
Neither the hospitals nor the “pope” are Catholic.
Until the rule is in effect, and enforcement starts, there is no standing to sue.
Want to be a test case that will destroy your finances and take years of your company’s life away?
That is the game being played. High stakes chicken on a train track.
No death serum.
HIPPA is to protect the employer, not the employee.
The employer is under no obligation to keep any and all health information private.
I ran into that with my youngest. My employer was telling potential employers “Red’s daughter was in the NICU don’t you know!”
Nothing I could do about it. Talked to a few lawyers and they all said they would not take the case. My only avenue was to say that company X did not hire me because of that information, but it is a high hill to climb to prove that.
Right to work laws mean you can be fired for any reason.
See, the GOP is hung up on the horns of a dilemma they worked very had to do.
If the GOP wants to survive, they had better start looking at workers rights, not corporate rights.
