Buta Biberaj was born in Montenegro and is of Albanian parentage. She was raised in the Bronx borough of New York City. After attending Fordham University, Rose Hill Campus, NYC, for her freshman and first-half of sophomore years, she transferred to George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
