Any lawyer worth his graft would immediately use the apology as an admission of guilt and jump on a lawsuit. But in order to be truly effedtive, the suit would need to hold the board members personally liable, targeting their personal finances; having the district pay any award only lets them off the hook to repeat the crimes.

I just can’t imagine that lawyers are lined up at the parent’s doorway pleading to be picked.

I’d interview them looking for the meanest greediest son-of-a-bitch I could find.

My late Dad’s advice was just this concerning lawyers and it has served me well though I have seldom needed to use it. When it comes to using a lawyer in anger it is like nuclear warfare, nobody is going to win anyway so go for maximum destruction. If things get to that point mayhem is the only satisfaction you may have so go for maximum effect.
