When did the States give the federal government the right to determine who would live there based on their ethnicity?

The original reason for federal control of immigration and a uniform naturalization law was precisely to prevent the other States from having lax admission requirements which would then lead to a back door into more strict states since they were signing up to open borders.

Translation: they didnt want any crap walking in.

The same is true of the fedgov: they dont decide who populates the States, they leave that up to the individuals once they are cleared to enter the country. They arent the political pawns of the party in power.

Well, for a time there was the refugee resettlement industry. They’d settle whoever they wanted, where we they wanted

Look up what happened in Tennessee and how the legislature, without any support from the Governor and AG, sued the Feds for the money they state was eventually forced to pay for all the Muslims.

Then Donald Trump was elected. He tried to shut down the whole refugee money making machine, which was funded by the taxpayers. He Was sued. Lost. So the money was still flowing to the companies.

Being ahead of the power curve he did what he could. He started cutting the numbers, dramatically. Refugee companies were losing money like crazy.

President Trump then issued an EO, which held, that even down to the lowest level, a jurisdiction could deny refugee resettlement in their town, city, county , state.

What was one of the first things CornPop did? Rescind that EO.
