Australia is blocking foreign tourists until at least 2022, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said Tuesday.

Response in pm.

I’m suppose to go in 2023 to visit my daughter. Hopefully they come to their senses before then.
No answer except power and politics. From what I have seen and read, their reaction to the virus is much worse there than in the US.
You missed the video of the guy who was arrested for smoking outdoors without a mask and the rioting by residents about the lock down. There must have been 5 cops who took him down to the ground for SMOKING WITHOUT A MASK. A lady friend said that they were on a cigarette break and they pretty much told her to mind her own business.
They are fighting back in the Eastern part of the country. They have been cautioned to not even speak to their neighbors if they see them outside or meet them shopping in a store...
It seems the Eastern part of Australia - Victoria, Queensland etc., is much different from Western Australia - Perth etc. I correspond with someone in Perth, Western Australia who is the daughter in law of a friend who lives here in the US and she is VERY LIBERAL. She thinks it’s soooo selfish of people to disregard the mask requirement and so glad that the residents in Western Australia are respectful of the law!!!!
That will kill the Australian Tennis Open.
