Solar panels aren’t as environmentally friendly as you may think. And now an industry group is saying looming tariffs will cripple the industry...
...a group is claiming China-made panels are coming via countries like Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand in order to skirt tariffs.
In August, the American Solar Manufacturers Against Chinese Circumvention (A-SMACC) asked the Commerce Department to investigate "unfairly traded" imports from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam of solar cells and modules that are "unlawfully circumventing antidumping and countervailing duties on China."...

In CT, if there is a power outage not only is it THE LAW you must disconnect the power invert’s output from the lines coming in (common sense), you are required to not have it on at all. When there’s a power outage in your area you are not allowed to use your solar system to power your home or charge any batteries. It’s the law. Not kidding. Look it up.
Hopefully by now people here, at least, understand the TRUE PURPOSE of solar and wind energy, and it has NOTHING AT ALL due to do with global warming.

They’ve always been environmentally unfriendly.... same as electric cars. They’re extremely damaging to the environment when you look at the mining done to get lithium for the batteries.
Their carbon footprint is terrible. Actually, they are often net energy sinkers. They are very often not even able to return the energy needed to create and install them.
As a further “icing on the cake”, about half of the silicon for them is made by slave labor un Uighur province.
They’re making a lot of green for some at the top of the solar scam.

If my kid hadn’t heard it directly at a ‘teach-in’ (in collage), it would be a theory.
Basically, they needed a way to shut down fossil fuels and nuclear power (along with breaching at least some dams) that they could sell to the public. So they come up with ‘green energy’ and tell the public that it’s transparent to them and no more expensive. Most people can’t do the math and understand the implications, and with the media supporting this scam full-bore, they are now proceeding. First coal, next is natural gas, finally no more new nukes or refurbished nukes.

Ozone is created by lightning, not many thunderstorms over the poles. Seems a lot of politicians bought into the new freon before they enacted the laws ban freon.
Climate change is another get rich by our betters.
