According to Wicki;
He served for 10 years, and
" Crenshaw was commissioned in the United States Navy, and served on SEAL Team 3 in the War in Afghanistan, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was wounded in action during his third deployment, losing his right eye to an improvised explosive device. He served as a legislative assistant to Representative Pete Sessions, and was elected to Congress in the 2018 midterm election to succeed the retiring Ted Poe. "
Two years after getting out, in 2018, Creshaw ran and won election for U.S.House of Representatives.
IF the stats about military suicides are real (I personally doubt the numbers, but that's another subject for another time ), returning warriors are coming home and thinking WTF ?
Everything I've read and conversed in the last twenty years informs me today's military is no where near MY 1965 - 1967 stint in the Army.
Guys MUST be coming home with a different trauma that my Viet era buddies did ( I didn't go in country, I was stationed in Korea ).
I personally believe there's a streak of rebel in Dan Crenshaw and ignoring a metal detector is akin to not wearing a mask in Congress.
Everyone knows it's bullshit, but some Nancy's just have to get all wee wee'd up.
“I’m not ready to throw him under the bus.”
Just because a person served in the SEALs does not make him a good American.
I personally know an 18 year SEAL (retired) via one of my Wife’s best friends (her son).
Graduated from the Naval Academy, tired out for the SEALs immediately and served all 18 years as a SEAL.
He is 100% pro:
- John Kerry
- Chris Heinz
- Hunter Biden
- Joe Biden
HATES Trump.
He’s NOT welcome in our home any longer and he KNOWS it DAMN well.
Re: 7 - Good post, thanks.
