The U.S. and Canada didn't fight a protracted and bloody rebellion before separating.

Well, that's because the Canadians kicked the US's @$$ when we tried to invade them. Also, when the US and Canada separated, the US was too weak to bully them. Things were different "four score and seven years" later.

Had the South won their rebellion...

Wasn't a "rebellion." That is a lie. They had a right to leave and exercising a right to leave is not "rebellion."

She always tries to lie about that. The states exercised their sovereign right to leave a voluntary union. That's not "rebellion". The US federal government was not their rightful ruler.
