I interviewed a black graduate from FamU who supposedly had gotten an A in circuits. (Among all the other courses.) She knew nothing. I knew her teacher, an adjunct who was a highly regarded engineer in my company. I went to see him and yes, he remembered her. He said, (approximatly) “At the end of the term the students grade me. If it’s a low grade, I don’t get to teach next term. Yes, she knew none of the material. But grading black students at their real level is not possible and she will strike back at me for giving her a real grade. And, I’m out the contract. I have no fear that anyone will hire her based on her supposed degree. It didn’t take you long to figure out she was not hirable material.””

Years ago I was in mgt. when we had prospective candidates a written application was required as to why they wanted the job.

I can't tell you how many applications I turned down based on the "writing" by some. And these were supposedly college grads.
